I have been an art instructor to the developmentally disabled for over 6 months now and I still have yet to make art for myself. I have had a surge of inspiration by handling art and artists every day but yet still I come home every day, exhausted and wary, and haven't produced a finished piece of artwork. This needs to change. Granted I HAVE started sketching more; I even allowed myself the luxury of purchasing some new paint brushes (that were 50% off!) that I just COULDN'T live without even when I couldn't really afford it. I am horrible at keeping up with Journal entries here on Deviant, let along uploading recent works. But in the last couple years I really haven't done much. However. Back in July I was hired as an art instructor for adults with developmental disabilities and a wonderful side effect of that employment is the spur in my creativity. Holy Crap, I'm actually drawing again! For ME! WOW! What an amazing feeling. So hopefully you will be seeing work from me again. I know, shocker. Coming up?
